Neil and Lisa's wedding

Neil and Lisa got married in The Holt hotel near Steeple Aston on a bright and sunny December afternoon. The venue was prepared for Christmas and had a cosy feel with twinkling lights and roaring fires. Anna, Neil’s sister did an amazing job in decorating the rooms with home made centre pieces.

I was able to get photos of the guests arriving, drinks at the bar and the bride speaking to the Registrars. The ceremony went very smoothly and the grounds provided great backdrops for the formal photos and bride and groom shots.

The speeches produced some special reactions from the guests - a real range of emotions were triggered with a tear or two leading to fits of laughter. This was a pleasure to capture.

It was a privilege to photo this special day and all the very best to the new Mr and Mrs Scott-Picton!

Ed and Jess's Oxfordshire Wedding

It was a privilege to take Ed and Jess's wedding photos last week. They were married in St Helen's church in the centre of Abingdon. It's a stunning building, with a unconventional square layout. This provides the opportunity for some unusual and new photo angles during the service.

We were able to use the nearby Arms Houses and River Thames as backdrops for photos of the wedding couple, before moving on to the Perch at Binsey in Oxford.

The marquee reception was fantastic and with the aid of some lovely late afternoon light, we could take some more photos by the river. It's the first time I've taken Thames-side wedding photos at both the church and the reception!

The speeches were razor sharp and very funny. It was great fun capturing the guest's reactions to all the stories.

Congratulations again to the new Dr and Mrs Green!

Liam and Lauren's Cotswold Wedding

Here are a selection of Liam and Lauren's wedding photos from last week. It was nice to be back in the Gloucestershire town of Moreton in Marsh at the smart Manor House Hotel.

The weather improved just when it needed to so we could utilise the hotel grounds for group and bride / groom photos. There's a secret garden at the back of the property that provided an ideal backdrop for some of the images.

The wedding guests included plenty of characters so it was great fun capturing them enjoying themselves!

It was brilliant to squeeze in some night shots of Liam and Lauren - they are my favourite as they are a bit different to conventional wedding photos.

It was a truly fantastic day and I hope you enjoy looking at the preview below.

Wedding album success

It's a great feeling presenting wedding clients with their wedding album.

Even though they have been through their photos hundreds of times, seeing them presented in a beautiful album seems to add that level of excitement!

I use professionally made albums (that only photographers have access to) and spend hours organising the layout of images. The quality of the finish is exceptional - these are built to last a lifetime and are a fantastic investment.

I have just completed some studio portraits of the clients (and their children) in the examples below. I'll post the results from that photoshoot soon.

Chloe and Sam's wedding

It was a privilege to be able to take the photos at Chloe and Sam's wedding last week. They got married in the luxurious Pennyhill Park in Bagshot on a stunning Spring day.

The venue is pure luxury and perfect for taking images of the bride and groom getting ready, guests arriving, the ceremony itself, drinks on the terraces, formal photos, the speeches and night celebrations.

The couple's guests were good fun - with tons of laughter and banter going on. It was such a happy day and I hope you enjoy looking through this selection.

Many congratulations to Mr and Mrs Lasson!
