Ed and Jess's Oxfordshire Wedding

It was a privilege to take Ed and Jess's wedding photos last week. They were married in St Helen's church in the centre of Abingdon. It's a stunning building, with a unconventional square layout. This provides the opportunity for some unusual and new photo angles during the service.

We were able to use the nearby Arms Houses and River Thames as backdrops for photos of the wedding couple, before moving on to the Perch at Binsey in Oxford.

The marquee reception was fantastic and with the aid of some lovely late afternoon light, we could take some more photos by the river. It's the first time I've taken Thames-side wedding photos at both the church and the reception!

The speeches were razor sharp and very funny. It was great fun capturing the guest's reactions to all the stories.

Congratulations again to the new Dr and Mrs Green!

Liam and Lauren's Cotswold Wedding

Here are a selection of Liam and Lauren's wedding photos from last week. It was nice to be back in the Gloucestershire town of Moreton in Marsh at the smart Manor House Hotel.

The weather improved just when it needed to so we could utilise the hotel grounds for group and bride / groom photos. There's a secret garden at the back of the property that provided an ideal backdrop for some of the images.

The wedding guests included plenty of characters so it was great fun capturing them enjoying themselves!

It was brilliant to squeeze in some night shots of Liam and Lauren - they are my favourite as they are a bit different to conventional wedding photos.

It was a truly fantastic day and I hope you enjoy looking at the preview below.

Studio photoshoot

Here is a selection of recent studio photos of the family featured in my previous blog post.

They feature Samuel and Ellie, who are siblings that share a birthday. Helen, their mum, wanted some special photos taken to celebrate two milestone birthdays. It was extra special that these were taken on the actual birthdays. The foreheads together pose recreates a photo taken when they were small children.

It's a pleasure to work with such lovely people (who happen to be very photogenic) and I'm delighted with what we achieved.

Please get in touch if you would like some portraits taken of your family and friends.

Wedding album success

It's a great feeling presenting wedding clients with their wedding album.

Even though they have been through their photos hundreds of times, seeing them presented in a beautiful album seems to add that level of excitement!

I use professionally made albums (that only photographers have access to) and spend hours organising the layout of images. The quality of the finish is exceptional - these are built to last a lifetime and are a fantastic investment.

I have just completed some studio portraits of the clients (and their children) in the examples below. I'll post the results from that photoshoot soon.
